Today was our Cooperative Lesson and the students created campaign posters based on their assigned candidate. The students ran as either Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Sacagawea, Meriwether Lewis or Clark. Overall, I think everything went well but we still needed to work on time management.Anway, we gave the students the following instructions:
Step 1: Using the iPads, read all about your candidate
Step 2: Fill out your note sheet with the answers found
Step 3: Get your note sheet checked with the teacher at your table
Step 4: Create your poster according to the rubric.
- When all groups are done, each group will share their poster
- There will be an evaluation to fill out for each group and a self-evaluation.
We gave the students a group contract with roles as pictured above to the right.
