Group 2's Inquiry lesson !

Today, group two presented their Inquiry Lesson ! They started off their lesson by giving the students a Kahoot for Pre-assessment using the classroom set of iPads.  I love using Kahoot in the classroom, and the students really love it and get very excited. If you have never heard of Kahoot, it is a game where players answer the questions on their own devices, while games are displayed on a shared screen to unite the lesson. It creates a 'campfire moment' encouraging players to look up and celebrate together. It does get a little loud from time to time because students are very excited to  see their scores and ranks on the screen. Once the Kahoot ended, the students began a WebQuest.
WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web. These can be created using various programs, including a simple word processing document that includes links to websites. Webquests are a fabulous classroom tool because students LOVE using technology !! During Group ones Webquest time, the students remained focused and quiet ! I was so happy to see how much the students were engaged and enjoyed the activity. I will definitely be incorporating Wequests into future instruction as a teacher. For group ones independent practice, they  wrote an article for their school newspaper about the constitution. A select few students were so excited for this activity ! i heard them say " YESSS !!! " out loud ! After the students wrote the articles, one from each group shared what they wrote by standing up in front of the class. I can't wait for their last and final lesson !! :)
